An India Gives Foundation Programme for Urban Slum Community Children

📘 Introduction

Shiksha Vriddhi is a flagship education support initiative of India Gives Foundation, created to uplift children living in urban slum communities. Many of these children come from families who struggle to afford even the most basic learning materials. Without notebooks, pencils, bags, or proper school support, thousands of children risk dropping out of school.

Shiksha Vriddhi bridges this gap by providing complete educational support, ensuring that every child receives the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.

Our mission is simple:

No child should be denied education because of poverty.

To support one full academic year for each child, the following items are required. Your contributions help us provide:

Children living in urban slum clusters Kids studying in government schools, low-income private schools, or informal learning centers

First-generation learners

Children whose families work as daily wage laborer's, domestic workers, roadside vendors, construction workers, etc.

Out-of-school and dropout children who wish to rejoin school Every child enrolled receives a complete school kit and access to continuous educational support through the India Gives Foundation learning centers.
