Current status of education in India at least 35 million children aged 6 – 14 years do not attend school and more than one billion people, and just one- third of them can read because rapidly growing size of population, shortages of teachers, books, and others basic facilities, and insufficient public funds to cover education “Underprivileged” children are those who do not enjoy the same advantages or rights as most kids their age. We should care about these children because they are the future. Most of the time; we equate it to being poor. We help to reduced infant mortality, chronic malnutrition and child trafficking, and increased access to primary and secondary education. Education is most important as it enables a child to realize his or her full potential; to think, question and judge independently; develop sense of self-respect, dignity and self-confidence; learn to love and respect fellow human beings and nature; in decision making; develop civic sense, citizenship and values of participatory democracy.
